Just seen this, cargo boot space difference is about 100 litres.
Mazda 3 Maxx sport SEDAN mt boot: 416 litres
Mazda 3 Maxx sport HATCH mt boot: 300 litres
But as DA said, the back seats can be folded down to fit more.
But then again I folded down my back seats and fit a massive poker table in there! It really has a good size boot for such a small car.
