The back is much better than the current model but the front is ugly I love the front of the current sedan... might be better off trying to get a current model nice and cheap when the new one comes out!

Yep, that's what I think as well.

I'll be watching the run-out specials on the MPS3 very closely as these are being introduced.

If they ever introduce a MPS6 verion of the new model that could be a contender as well.

whats this? no keyhole on the bootlid? do i sense finally a button on the key or a latch to open the boot on the boot itself? like 99% of cars currently on the market out there??

earth shattering!

they also might have heated seats - wtf?

does anyone else thinks the dashboard looks like...a camry or something? something already done and not entirely earth shattering as well? they tend to be conservative with dash boards, so is the subaru liberty. guess it could be a good strategy - take someone elses idea which has worked rather than gamble on a whole new design which could be a disaster (ala BMW 7 series)

After much brewing in my head, and the negativity aimed at the front, Ive realised that I love the 'V' shape of the front grille of my car, and I know thats the defining point of the current mazda 3's face. I think they shouldve gone with the new mazda 6 / current mazda 3 style grille and not the rx-8 style...

But I do love the new dash and interior!

And someone said its similar to the new lancer, I agree, from the side view (because of the diagonal slant of the crease in the side where the handles are) it looks very similar to the lancer...

JUST MADE THIS COMPARISON:

Yeah these new shots are actually turning me off a bit. It just looks like the grille (and above the fogs) are too large, and they dominate the front end, making the car a look a bit front heavy.

The general design idea is good though. It just needs to be toned down a bit in size imo.

funny how the front of the lancer is nice and the back sucks, whilst the new 3 is the opposite...

I'm still trying to work out where the hi-beam lamps are?

Do the US models require them? interesting parker setup.

The front looks like crap. Especially the area around the fog lights. Seriously Mazda why ruin it with a big 'blob' of black plastic? I love the front of my 3, but this one sadly just will not do.

Next upgrade after this may not even be a Mazda at all!

I think the front would look better if the car is black.

Anyone have good photo chop skills? really hanging to see it in black.
