| | | | I got mine on Friday. INstalled Saturday and haven't looked back. Thx Johnny :)

Mine is in the glovebox. There is a little panel at the back of the glove that you can push out (well on the 2005 model there, I am assuming it the same for the others). I push it out drilled a hole through that and feed the cable through. The ipod is out of the way and unseen.
The glove box isn't too hard to pull out.

Ahhh got lazy, the cars sitting in the garage half naked till tomorrow when I wake up =D
-----
Got it installed =D
Ran the cable from the back of the HU down to the cup holder and then up the slot that the handbrake is in =D
It sits on top of the cup holder lid now, and the cable can slide back under the cup holder if I'm not using it.
I'll take a picture later tonight when I come home from uni =D

| | | | Any feedback on the performance of the xcarlink adaptor? Tossing up between this and the audio link to connect with my 5g ipod. They look pretty similar and have the same function, maybe just rebadged?
Also, anyone have any suggestions on which ipod mount to get for a 2006 mazda 6? |

| | | | Has anyone had trouble accessing the "playlist mode" . It says you push the disc+/disc- buttons to get there but this doesn't work for me.
Any help would be great.

| | | | u need to push the cd/tape button first
once to turn on the normal cd player and then a second time to turn on the ipod/mp3 adapter. then u can use the disc+/disc- to access the different playlist/modes
use ext 1 if you want to use your ipod aswell as the stereo buttons, use ext 2,3,4 etc for playlists that are stored on ur ipod/mp3 |

| | | | i am having an issue with mine :( works fine and as described although if i go from ipod mode, to play a normal cd goes fine
if i want to go back to the ipod after listening to a cd nothing happens, the ex1 comes up and starts counting although no audio, i need to either go back to cd AGAIN then ipod and it works or manually unlock it from the ipod and press play PITA!!!
REALLY FREAKIN ANNOYING
