Door trim and Door strips are two different things! :P

I've noticed you posted on another forum about it already Acco (google 4tw!). But I found something yesterday that may be helpful:

Door Panel Removal and Sound Deadening for Mazda6 - DIY Mobile Audio

Been searching as I'd like to sound deaden my doors / boot in my 09 model 6, noone seems to have done it and shared their experiences

This is basically all you need to know to remove the drivers door panel on an MPS6.

This shows the location of the three screws.

Screw B

Remove the lens by placing a small screwdriver into the recess at the back of the lens and it slides out horizontally.
.
Once this is done just pull on the trim to release the clips - just like any other vehicle.
Once the clips are undone lift the trim up to unclip from the top of the door, you have to then reach in to un-plug the three cables.
I found it easier when it came to reinstalling the panel to remove the switch panel making it far easier to get the plugs back in.
Hope this works - haven't uploaded for ages and I hope it helps.
